World rallies to condemn Israeli crimes

People continue to rally across the world to protest Israel’s ongoing onslaught against the Gaza Strip, which has so far claimed 804 lives.

New Zealand
Hundreds of New Zealand people took to the streets on Saturday to support the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The protesters set fire to the Israeli flag to show their hatred of Israel’s atrocities in the region.

They also hurled shoes at the US consulate in Oakland, New Zealand to condemn the US support of the Israeli crimes.

The demonstrators held pictures of Palestinian children who were killed or severely injured in the Israeli offensive against the Gazans, the indigenous people of the land who have refused to withdraw their support from Hamas government.

Hamas does not recognize Israel as a legitimate state.

They also chanted slogans, “Israel, the US, how many kids have you killed today?”

Moreover, they called on the New Zealand government to condemn the Zionist regime’s atrocities.

Italy

A number of Italians staged a sit-in in Rome on Saturday to protest against the Israeli offensive against Gazans.

The protesters also voiced their anger at the country’s mass media due to their censorship of Israel’s massacre of Palestinian people, especially women and children, in Gaza.

They also criticized the ignorance of Human Rights international organizations over the crisis in Gaza.

The sit-in is expected to continue for three days.

Belgium

Hundreds of Belgians also voiced their anger at the Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip when they marched on the streets o Friday evening.

The protesters asked the international community to intervene calling for an immediate cease fire.

The demonstration was backed by the Ecolo Green Party in Belgium.

They also chanted slogans, “Israel is a murderer”, “the Zionists are terrorists”, Bush and Olmert are murderers”. They also chanted slogans in support of Hamas and Hezbollah.

A massive demonstration is scheduled to be held in the Belgian capital, Brussels on Sunday.

The US

Thousands of people rallied in Chicago on Friday to protest against the Israeli regime’s offensive in the Gaza Strip.

The protesters expressed full support for the Palestinian people during the rally.

The Chicago protest comes as the Israeli regime rejected a United Nations’ call for a ceasefire.

Jordan

Around 2,000 protesters took part in protests in the Jordanian capital Amman on Friday to condemn Israel’s military attacks on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The protesters held banners during the demonstration and demanded the supply of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

They also demanded that the Israeli embassy be shut down. Riot police reportedly clashed with the protesters outside the embassy.

According to officials, several protesters were injured and dozens were arrested.

India

Hundreds staged a demonstration in the streets in Srinagar to express anger at the Israel’s onslaught on Gaza.

The demonstrators gathered after Friday prayers to demonstrate against Israel’s onslaught on Palestinian fighters and the Gazan people.

Protesters pelted police with stones and chanted anti-Israel slogans. They also set fire to Israeli and US flags.
